SITE LOGISTICS MANAGER

DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW

Our Site Logistics Manager oversees and generates reports on the daily site operations as they interface with many aspects of project site planning so to analyze expenses and provide cost savings improvements. This position provides regular feedback and performance evaluations of the construction site. The Site Logistics Manager collaborates with various corporate departments on procurement, vendor relations, and supply management to ensure effective site management.

POSITION DUTIES

  • Assist in managing construction site inventory and keep records of the inventory

  • Monitor project budgets and collaborate regularly with management team

  • Select carriers for transportation and negotiate rates and contracts with carriers

  • Respond to and resolve complaints and problems

  • Keep up to date on shipping, routes and rates and any changes to them

  • Managing the team to meet or exceed the contractual obligations

  • Effectively manage client relationships, advise, and consult on business processes and exceed internal/external customer expectations.

  • Work closely with the Materials Manager to execute and manage all aspects of purchasing in a cost-effective manner and maintain data integrity within asset management system and/or the customer’s CMMS system.

  • Communicate regularly with Materials Manager and customer’s operational facility teams on supply logistics

  • Become proficient in the client’s systems and facilitate effectively as it relates to improve site efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree with a minimum of 3 years supply chain experience

  • Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred

  • Society of Logistics (SOLE) or American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certifications desired

  • Experience with CMMS recommended

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Experience and familiarity with inventory control, receiving, and shipping processes

  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting and/or overseeing a financial report (P&L)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent problem-solving, and creativity skills

  • Good time management skills, and follow through of time commitments

  • Collaborative team focused attitude to facilitate planning efforts

  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills
