QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER

DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW

At Project X, the Quality Control Manager will inspect a project before, during, and after construction to ensure compliance with all safety and quality specifications. Project X’s QC Manager will develop and maintain a quality control (QC) plan, create documents and forms to track project findings, and regularly oversee most construction work at the client’s direction. As a Quality Control manager at Project X, completing rigorous audits on projects and paperwork, is imperative and ensure our expertise is driven to the field and carried throughout the site. QC Manager will assist project managers with developing construction plans, evaluate and track noncompliance with safety plans, and perform other tasks to ensure an injury-free workplace. Construction quality control managers frequently visit with the Safety Manager and review problem areas on-site, such as, hot, confined, or loud spaces to ensure compliance.

POSITION DUTIES

  • The preparation of the companies QA manual control and supervision of all amendments and revisions

  • Control and the distribution of all the company’s quality documentation

  • Monitor all quality related activities on the project

  • Perform all internal and external audits on behalf of the client’s stakeholders

  • Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractor documentation submittals

  • Attend all pre-bid meetings and coordinate all project requirements with the project bidders

  • Attend client quality management meetings to understand client’s needs and requirements

  • The preparation and control of project quality system management documentation prior to project commencement

  • Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements

  • Monitor the disposition of all issued nonconformance reports

  • Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system

  • Recommend and implement improvements when required

  • Coordinate all QA/QC activities with the Project Manager

  • Coordinate all QA/QC activities with the site QA/QC Logistics and Materials Manager

  • Coordinate all quality related correspondence with the customers representatives

  • Monitor statistical method reporting

  • Action and close all customer complaints

  • Control all achieve documentation upon the completion of the project

QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Construction Management or related field is required

  • Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) is preferred

  • 10 or more years of Construction Site Superintendent or Quality Control Manager experience

  • LEED experience (certification a plus)
